Data Encoding Standards

The GeoPackage encoding standard describes a set of rules and conventions for storing vector features, imagery tile matrix sets, raster map tile matrix sets and non-spatial tabular data in a SQLite database. The standard also describes rules for extending the capabilities of a GeoPackage.

The Observations, Measurements and Samples (OMS) Standard which comprises several parts, defines a conceptual schema for observations, for features involved in the observation process, and for features involved in sampling when making observations. Models support the exchange of information describing observation acts and their results, both within and between different scientific and technical communities.
